The Department of Justice said Thursday that it will host a series of meetings over the next few weeks with community members, police officers and officials to gather “insights and recommendations on how (the Albuquerque Police Department) should be reformed,” according a news release.
The meetings are scheduled to take place the week of April 28. Justice Department representatives will meet with individuals and organizations, including advocacy groups, city officials, victims, police officers and union officials. The Justice Department intends to publicize the meetings as widely as possible in the coming days.
