NBA Draft projections for Bairstow, Williams, Kirk and Bhullar

........................................................................................................................................................................................

The NBA Draft is June 26 and any player who wants his name in the draft needs to make it official by 9:59 p.m. Sunday.

Four players who played their college basketball in New Mexico this past season have already thrown their name into the draft pool. University of New Mexico forward Cameron Bairstow and guard Kendall Williams exhausted their college eligibility and are entered in the draft while Lobo center Alex Kirk (one year remaining) and New Mexico State university’s Sim Bhullar (two years of eligibility remaining) each hired agents and entered their names into the draft pool despite having college eligibility remaining.

Kirk was at UNM for four years and earned his degree. Bhullar leaves NMSU after two seasons and has not yet earned his degree.

The NBA Draft consists of two rounds of 30 picks (60 picks overall). Players taken in the first round (top 30 picks) are guaranteed contracts with the team that drafts them. Players selected after the first round are not guaranteed a roster spot.

While the projections over the next several weeks will change dramatically as players get their individual workouts with teams, here is an early look at some draft projections from around the web on the four players who played in New Mexico this past season (projections updated as of Friday afternoon):
