SANTA FE, N.M. — Get ready for possible traffic back-ups this Friday through the weekend on U.S. 84/285 north of Santa Fe.
To allow for bridge rehabilitation work at the North Tesuque Interchange (Exit 172), the southbound exit will be closed and the U.S. 84/285 southbound lanes will be reduced to one lane and detoured through the off-ramps and on-ramps at this interchange, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Also, the cross-road at the North Tesuque Interchange will be closed and there will be no access from CR 73 to southbound U.S. 84/285. The southbound lanes to the N. Tesuque Interchange will be re-opened at 6 a.m. on Monday, May 12.
During the closure, local traffic can use Exit 175 (Camel Rock) for access to the west frontage road. There will be no outlet from the west frontage road back onto U.S. 84/285.
This work, which includes the removal and replacement of the bridge approach slabs, bridge sleeper slabs, transition slabs and roadway improvements at the interchange, is due to be done in July.
