The weather might be fickle this month, but at least one thing is consistent this May at area casinos – enticing promotions.
Head over to Isleta Resort & Casino on Saturday, May 17 for “Derby Days.” Earn 100 points on any Isleta Power Play slot machine and race your way to win your share of $500. Races are held hourly from 10 a.m. to midnight. If you cannot make it on Saturday, try again on June 14.
In the meantime, Isleta is offering “May Moola.” Earn up to 100 points on any Isleta Power Play slot machine from 8 a.m. Mondays to 4 a.m. Fridays through May 30 and you are automatically entered into the tournament. The top players will be awarded each Friday.
Bingo players are invited to be part of the Hawaiian Night session from 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday, May 17. A $19 All-You-Can-Play pays $1,199. There also will be drawings throughout the session. On May 26, be part of the Memorial Day sessions. The matinee session begins at noon with a $3 All-You-Can-Play that pays $300. The evening session begins at 6:30 p.m. with a $5 or a $10 All-You-Can-Play. For the evening session, there will be four drawings totalling $1,000. As a reminder, bingo closures take place on May 21 and May 24.

THE DOWNS RACETRACK & CASINO: Speaking of eating, The Downs has expanded its All-You-Can-Eat menu. It now offers new dishes including smoked prime rib, green and red chile enchiladas and rotisserie chicken. The menu items are delivered directly to your table. The All-You-Can-Eat menu is offered every Thursday through Sunday in the casino’s food court. Offerings also include fried chicken, fried fish, salad, rice, beans and tortillas, but vary depending on the day. Your choice of soda, water, tea and more is included. Triple Crown Club card members pay $8.99, nonmembers pay $11.99 for the All-You-Can-Eat dining option.
