........................................................................................................................................................................................

All power has been restored in Santa Fe, a PNM spokesman indicated abut 6:20 p.m. this evening.

The cause of the outage that took place more than two hours earlier, affecting about 10,000 customers – including thoseĀ  in and around downtown Santa Fe – has not been determined, the spokesman said.

More heavy rain was hitting Santa Fe as of 6:30 p.m.

A main PNM transmission line in Santa Fe tripped during a thunderstorm about 4 p.m. today, knocking out about seven power substations and leaving an estimated 10,000 customers without electricity.

A PNM spokesman said about 4:40 p.m. that crews were out and still tying to determine the cause of the outage.

It appeared that most of downtown Santa Fe was without power.
