Sheriff’s office looking for murder suspect

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Sheriff’s deputies are on the lookout for a man they said shot and killed a friend of his during a fight in the early morning hours last Friday.

They said Charles Jermain Robinson, 35, shot 25-year-old Thomas Manuel at least once in the torso, killing him, during an altercation in the East Mountains on May 23. Deputies arrived at the home on Filomeno Road around 4:15 a.m. to find Manuel’s body in the yard.

Robinson then fled the scene.

A Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said witnesses in the home are still being interviewed about what they might have seen. He could not say why BCSO did not release information about the alleged killing when it happened last week.

If anyone has information about Robinson’s whereabouts, they are asked to call BCSO as 798-7000. robinson
