........................................................................................................................................................................................

Albuquerque firefighters rescued a person from a burning home Tuesday morning near Texas Street and Phoenix Avenue.

Another person in the home escaped through a back door.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. The Albuquerque Fire Department said a power line fell near the back of the home.

No firefighters were injured and the two people in the home were treated at the scene.

KOAT-TV reported that the family dog alerted the people inside the home. A fire department spokeswoman said people should have working smoke alarms.

Firefighters were dispatched at 5:20 a.m. The fire was under control about an hour later.

The spokeswoman said in a statement the fire was massive and involved the entire home.
