A 20-year-old woman is accused of plotting a robbery where a family was tied up and held at gunpoint as two masked men robbed them.
Victoria Gallegos was arrested Wednesday evening on suspicion of kidnapping, robbery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit a first-degree felony and larceny, according to court documents.
Gallegos drove Oscar Orejel and Rene Lira and to a home on the 7600 block of Via Cometa on May 17 and instructed them to steal “high-grade weed” and other valuables. She agreed to pay the robbers for the heist, according to the criminal complaint.
Lira and Orejel, wearing masks and armed with guns, allegedly broke into the family’s home and ordered the son to tie up his parents and himself and then forced the family into a bedroom while they stole jewelry, cell phones, shoes and money. The value of the stolen items was about $6,400, according to the criminal complaint.
The son was able to identify Orejel and Lira from Facebook because he caught glimpses of their faces during the robbery. Both men have been arrested.
Lira allegedly told an investigator after his arrest that Gallegos gave them guns and masks, planned the robbery and kept the stolen merchandise.
She is being held on a $100,000 cash or surety bond.
