FARMINGTON – Authorities say a man driving baling equipment on a Farmington road was injured when the vehicle overturned.
The Daily Times reported that officials with Navajo Agricultural Products Industry says a contractor suffered serious injuries Thursday while driving a hay squeeze, a piece of equipment used for alfalfa baling.
Officials say the employee was driving on a paved road near NAPI’s headquarters, about 12 miles east of N.M. 371.
The road was built as part of the Navajo Indian Irrigation Project.
The Navajo Nation Division of Public Safety and New Mexico State Police are investigating the accident.
The company has not identified the driver pending notification of his family.
