Stripper: Policeman used badge in bid for date

........................................................................................................................................................................................

An Albuquerque officer is under scrutiny after a stripper says he used his badge to try to get a date with her, then got her boyfriend arrested.

KRQE-TV reported that Sgt. Daniel Carr is under an Internal Affairs investigation for stopping the stripper’s boyfriend, which led to a drunken driving arrest.

The Knockouts dancer says in an affidavit that after the arrest, Carr began calling and texting her.

She says he asked her on dates and offered to follow her home from work in case she had been drinking.

In court documents dealing with the DWI case, Carr admitted knowing the stripper, but denied her and her boyfriend’s claims that he abused his badge.

Albuquerque police declined to comment on the Carr investigation.
