South Broadway Cultural Center screens free family-friendly films

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — “There’s nothing to do!” That is the lament parents and caregivers hear during the long summer months. South Broadway Cultural Center has the answer for kids of all ages (including grandparents) who love movies, especially those with lots of fun action and memorable characters.

On Wednesdays SBCC is continuing to screen a series of what are commonly considered “kids’ movies,” but are often beloved by people of all ages. And, the screenings are free.

The John Lewis Theatre in the cultural center is at 1025 Broadway SE. The showings are at 2 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Here is the schedule:

  • July 23, “The Incredibles”
  • July 30, “Wall-E”
  • Aug. 6, “Zoo Keeper”
  • Aug. 15, “Finding Nemo”

South Broadway Cultural Center is managed by the Cultural Services Department of the city of Albuquerque.
