A pedestrian suffered a broken leg and a cut to his head about 5 p.m. Monday when he attempted to cross Alameda near Second NW, investigators said Tuesday.
The man, Sylvester Salas, 32, was in stable condition Tuesday at University of New Mexico Hospital, according to Sgt. Aaron Williamson of the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office.
Initial information indicates that Salas may have been intoxicated when he ran into the roadway, Williamson said.
The driver has not been charged, he said.
