Parts of Albuquerque received more than half an inch of rain overnight, though Wednesday chances of any more rain are slim, according to the National Weather Service in Albuquerque.

The Albuquerque International Sunport got 0.1 inches, according to NWS meteorologist Jason Frazier, and other parts of the city got more, including near Paseo del Norte and Louisiana, which got 0.7 inches, and San Antonio and Louisiana, which got 0.56 inches.

Just over a quarter-inch fell near Carlisle and Constitution.

In other parts of the state, towns east and south of Albuquerque got more than an inch of rain throughout the day and evening Tuesday. The Ruidoso area, for example, got 1.32 inches over Tuesday afternoon, and 1.26 inches fell in Moriarty.

Frazier said Albuquerque has about a 10 or 20 percent chance of rain and weather systems head south toward the Gila Mountain range and elsewhere. The city’s next best chance at rain might have to wait until this weekend, he said.
