In a peaceful neighborhood park in Santa Fe’s South Capitol area, a tiny whimsical door lies against a tree trunk.

It’s an invitation to imagination. Is it a home for the Keebler elves? How about a hobbit vacationing from a Lord of the Rings quest? Actually, it seems too small for either of those possibilities. Maybe it’s Alice’s entry to Wonderland.

My suspicion is that it’s the home of a consultant to local author George R.R. Martin for this “Fire and Ice” series. Everyone needs a muse.
