........................................................................................................................................................................................

At Las Vegas, 1:05 p.m.

Probable starters: Isotopes RHP Matt Magill (7-5, 5.09) vs. 51s RHP Logan Verrett (9-4, 4.57).

Radio: 610 AM

Saturday: Kevin Plawecki hit a two-run homer and host Las Vegas capitalized on six Albuquerque errors to hand the Isotopes an 8-3 loss. The 51s had just five hits but took advantage of eight walks along with the shoddy defense.

Clint Robinson had a two-run double that pulled the Isotopes within a run at 3-2 in the sixth. But Las Vegas answered with three runs in the bottom of the inning and pulled away. Joc Pederson hit a solo home run, his 26th, for Albuquerque.

This and that: In Baseball America’s annual “Tools Survey,” outfielder Pederson was voted by the league’s managers as the most exciting player.

Next home game: Tuesday vs. Memphis, 6:35 p.m.Saturday
