UNM gives interim football coach $62k raise

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico finalized a $62,100 raise for interim head football coach George Barlow today.

The head coaching stipend will be paid in addition to the $140,000 salary Barlow previously earned as the football team’s defensive coordinator, according to UNM spokesman Greg Archuleta.

Barlow’s net pay of $202,100 is nearly four times less than the $750,000 UNM paid to former coach Mike Locksley.
