........................................................................................................................................................................................

Albuquerque police are questioning a man who exited a home that was the focus of the department’s SWAT team on Wednesday afternoon.

Albuquerque police were contacted just before 1 p.m. by a concerned resident in the area of Noah and Stephan SW who had seen two male subjects carrying a guitar and a black duffle bag in the area. The subjects then walked to a nearby home on the 700 block of Libby SW, according to Albuquerque Police Department spokesman Rob Gibbs.

A short time later, the resident saw the subjects using a hand-dolly to carry a 55-inch television inside the home’s garage. The subjects then closed the garage door.

Police responded to the home on Libby and tried to make contact with anyone inside, but no one answered the door. Police could hear sounds coming from inside the residence, according to Gibbs.

At that time, police were alerted to a home on the 600 block of Noah SW that had been burglarized.

The homeowner gave a description to police of the items missing from the home. The description of the items was similar to those seen by the concerned resident who contacted police after seeing two male subjects carrying a guitar, duffel bag and television to the home on Libby, according to Gibbs.

Police established a perimeter around the home on Libby and APD’s SWAT team responded to the scene.

A man later exited the home on Libby and was being questioned by police on Thursday night. It was not immediately known if he was involved in the burglary.

SWAT members later entered the home on Libby and found no one else inside. Police are attempting to locate one or more people who might have been involved in the burglary on Noah SW.

The Albuquerque Police Department SWAT team has set up a perimeter around a home near Unser Boulevard and Tower Avenue SW in reference to two suspected burglars who barricaded themselves inside, according to police.

A concerned resident called 911 after seeing two men rolling a large television down Libby Ave SW about 2:45 p.m. Thursday, according to APD spokesman Rob Gibbs. The men later ran into a home on the 700 block of Libby.

The SWAT team has set up a perimeter around the home. Libby SW and surrounding streets are closed at this time.

Police confirmed that a television had been stolen from a home on Libby.
