UPDATED: New KAFB Hours To Affect Bus Service

........................................................................................................................................................................................

Starting next Monday, ABQ RIDE’s Route #31/Wyoming bus will no longer bring passengers into Kirtland Air Force Base past 6:30 p.m. on weekdays, according to an ABQ RIDE release.

The last two weekday runs of Route #31 will have to turn around outside Kirtland’s Wyoming gate, the release said.

That also means the last Route #31 bus will leave Sandia National Laboratories’ Building 825 (the Steve Schiff Auditorium) at 6:08 p.m. on weekdays.

All weekend service into Kirtland AFB via Route #31 will be canceled as well, ABQ RIDE said.

Also, as of Saturday, Dec. 3, the only weekend bus service to Kirtland AFB will be the Route #157/Montano/Uptown bus, which enters and leaves the base at the Louisiana and Gibson gate and operates on Saturday only, the release said.
