All four spot fires have been contained. Fire crews remain on scene to put out any hot spots that sprout up, Albuquerque Fire Department spokeswoman Melissa Romero said.
Albuquerque police assisted with a police helicopter to help locate the fires and keep an eye out for other possible fires in the area.
No one was injured, Romero said.
The cause of the fires remains under investigation. The size of the spot fires was not immediately known.
Albuquerque firefighters have responded to a bosque fire on the east side of the Rio Grande.
The fire is being described as a significant wildland fire and possibly involves four separate spot fires, according to the Albuquerque Fire Department. The fire is burning close to the Rio Grande Nature Center.
