UNM Hospital Ranks High

.
The University of New Mexico Hospital is in a group honored for quality of care and for use of information technology, according to U.S. News & World Report.
In its July 31 issue, the magazine described UNMH and 40 other hospitals as "more likely to offer quality care because they've been awarded a double distinction."
University Hospital was ranked one of America's best hospitals earlier in July by U.S. News & World Report based on "their ability to save lives, their expertise in tackling tough medical problems, their reputation among specialists, their nursing excellence and other factors," the magazine reported.
It was also ranked among the nation's "100 Most Wired" hospitals by a publication of the American Hospital Association. That award is based on a hospital's use of information technology to improve safety and quality, customer service, public health, business operations and staff training and performance.
