Isleta Pueblo Starts Work on Hotel

.
Isleta Casino and Resort and Isleta Pueblo officials last week broke ground for a new hotel complex adjacent to the casino.
The hotel will have more than 200 rooms and suites, a 24-hour cafe, steakhouse, Asian bistro, indoor pool, fitness room, spa, a child care center and more than 30,000 square feet of ballroom space.
The architect is the Cunningham Group, with project management provided by Parsons— 3D/I. Hunt/Bradbury is the general contractor for the project, Isleta said in a news release.
Isleta resort General Manager Rodney Ferguson said the new building, added to "banquet facilities in our new golf clubhouse, means that we'll also be able to attract large meetings and conventions."
The hotel will be south of the casino, which is just off Exit 215 from Interstate 25, south of Albuquerque.
