BernCo Residents Can Get Free Prescription Discount Card Permalink comment E-mail

Bernalillo County will soon be offering free prescription drug discount cards to help alleviate the cost of medicine. The card will be available to anyone, regardless of income or insurance coverage.

The National Association of Counties notes that the average user saves 22% of the retail price on their drugs.

There is also no cost to taxpayers - the program is free for Bernalillo County as well. The county commissioner, Maggie Hart Stebbins, notes that the card will help the 21% of BernCo residents that have no health insurance afford the prescriptions they need.

You can check the cost of a drug with the card here.
