Regal theaters will show G- or PG-rated films for free at 10 a.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Here's a cool way to beat the heat this summer and entertain the kids -- for free!

The Regal Entertainment Group is hosting the Free Family Film Festival all this summer at the Four Hills 10 movie theater complex at 13120 Central SE and at Cottonwood Stadium 16 at 10000 Coors NW in Albuquerque, showing a G- or PG-rated second-run feature every Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 a.m., according to KOAT-TV.

Different movies will be played each week, including some just recently off their first run in theaters, including such films as "Hotel for Dogs," "The Tale of Despereaux," "Kung Fu Panda" and "Horton Hears a Who," Action 7 News reported.

Tickets are available at the theater free of charge on the day of the showing, and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, KOAT-TV said.

For a schedule of movies, go to the Free Family Film Festival Web site.
