Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday starting at 9 p.m. each day, westbound I-40 at San Mateo will be taken down to one lane. This will last until 5 a.m. the following mornings.

It's part of the I-40/San Mateo to Carlisle reconstruction project.

Also on the same days and during the same hours, the westbound I-40 off ramp to San Mateo will be closed.

Meanwhile, on Monday and Tuesday, also from 9 p.m. each day until 5 a.m., eastbound I-40 from Carlisle to San Mateo will have the two left lanes closed.

The state Department of Transportation's interstate fog sealing operation also continues overnights in the area of the Big I, or I-25 between Central and Comanche and I-40 between Carlisle and Sixth Street.

As part of this work, tonight and Monday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., eastbound I-40 from Sixth Street to Carlisle will have the two right lanes closed. And Tuesday and Wednesday during the same hours, westbound I-40 from Carlisle to Sixth Street will have the two right lanes closed.
