Gov. Bill Richardson has interviewed three new candidates as he weighs an appointment to the Bernalillo County Commission.

Under consideration are Maggie Hart Stebbins, a Harvard graduate who works for the Mid-Region Council of Governments; business owner Joanie Griffin; and Idalia Lechuga-Tena, an aide to Mayor Martin Chávez with experience in bilingual projects.

The appointee would replace Deanna Archuleta, who joined the Obama administration last month.

Richardson is expected to announce his appointment sometime Tuesday.
