Female injured in armed robbery today (Oct. 29)
Police are searching for two suspects involved in an armed robbery that occurred this afternoon in northeast Albuquerque. A man and a woman entered the Twister's restaurant in the 7600 block of Jefferson NE about 2:20 p.m., demanding money and holding employees at gunpoint. The two suspects then left the business with an undisclosed amount of money. Upon leaving, the suspects shot at a window, shattering it. A piece of glass hit a Twister's employee in the ear. Both suspects are described as Hispanic. The male suspect is about 25 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a slender build. He was wearing a black bandana and black jeans. The female is in her 20s and has a heavy build. She was wearing a black sweater, black bandana and gray jeans.
