GameTap, an online broadband videogame service, is testing the waters by offering free access to a limited number of the PC-based games.
The catch is that the games are supported by advertising, meaning you'll have to view an ad before playing.
The rollout, starting today, will initially offer 31 titles, including Bust-A-Move, Metal Slug and the more recent Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend.
Regular subscribers to the service have unlimited access to GameTap's library. Costs run from $9.95 a month, billed monthly, to $6.95 a month, billed annually.
