As advertised, a review of trees . (I think he's in favor of them, though they are flawed.)

UNM AD Paul Krebs says he's not in competition with the Good Old Days at the Pit, but I'm not so sure about that. My most vivid memory of the unworldly level of noise in the place comes from somewhere in the late 1970s. It might have been against UCLA. At one point, the noise, which becomes a kind of living (and scary) thing, so frightened a little girl (about 5 or 6 years old) that her father had to pick up up the poor little crying thing and carry her outside. When basketball fans make the kind of sound that frightens small children, you've got something of a home court advantage. I think perhaps Krebs and Steve Alford are very much in competition with that. A lot of people, me included, would like to see those days again in the Pit.

If your computer desktop is making you a little icon crazy, and maybe even getting in the way of work because of its excuse-making properties, there might be help on the way -- Zenware.
