No snow, but plenty of big gusts in much of New Mexico.

Wind advisories up for the eastern part of the state, with gusts from 35 to 50 mph until around 5 p.m. today, with some blasts up to 75 mph possible in and around Roswell and southeastern New Mexico.

Temperatures expected to remain higher than normal.

Today, by the way, was the day in 1831 when Charles Darwin began his fateful voyage on HMS Beagle, collecting data that would become the basis for his theory of evolution. Did he have any idea what a storm he'd be kicking up?

8:15am UPDATE: The National Weather Service's outlook for the rest of the week can be found here.
