Three brothers are accused of killing 10-year-old Clovis boy.

A state district judge has granted a prosecution request for time to gather more forensic evidence in the murder trials of Orlando Salas, 15; Demetrio Salas, 19; and Edward Salas, 21, the Clovis News-Journal reported on its Web site.

The three are charged with murder in connection with the Sept. 15 shooting death of 10-year-old Carlos Perez, who was sleeping next to his brother, Ruben Perez, who police say was the apparent target of the shooting, the News-Journal reported.

A fourth suspect, Noe Torres, 26, remains at large.

The trial of the three brothers was supposed to start next month, but state District Judge Joe Salas granted the prosecution's motion for more time, the paper reported. The trial has been postponed until at least May.

Demetrio Salas remains jailed at the Curry County Adult Detention Center on a $100,000 bond, while his brothers -- including 15-year-old Orlando Salas who is in the Curry County Juvenile Detention Center -- are being held without bond, the News-Journal reported.
