First case reported this year.

 

As reported in the Santa Fe Journal:

A 59-year-old woman from Taos who was hospitalized at University of New Mexico Hospital with the state's first case of Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome this year has died of complications, according to the state Health Department.
The woman is the state's only reported Hantavirus case this year. Her condition was reported on April 26.
