Eastern edges of state have severe weather potential
Albuquerque can expect highs in the upper 80s again today, with a slight chance of thunderstorms later. The National Weather Service predicts slightly warmer temperatures by mid-week, to the lower 90s. The official forecast: Today: Isolated showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly cloudy, with a high near 87. East wind between 10 and 15 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 10%.
Tonight: Isolated showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 56. North wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 10%.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. North wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to between 15 and 20 mph.
