Baseball Draft Starts at Noon 

Will New Mexicans be drafted? Follow their fate at MLB.com's draft tracker .

As Major League Baseball's 2007 First-Year Player Draft gets under way today, only a handful of players with ties to state schools are expected to hear their name called. The selection process starts with four hours of live coverage on ESPN2 and wraps up early Friday evening after approximately 1,400 players will be picked, according to Journal sports writer Will Webber.
