APD officer reportedly injured in early-morning mishap.

A rollover shut down northbound N.M. 14 at mile marker 3 around 6:20 a.m. today, according to a Bernalillo County sheriff's dispatcher.

The car was an Albuquerque Police Department vehicle traveling north on the highway, but no other details were immediately available, the dispatcher said.

KOB-TV reported that an officer was taken to the hospital.

8:35am UPDATE: Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Erin Kinnard said the APD officer -- whose name was not released -- did not suffer significant injuries. The accident was believed to have involved only the one vehicle, Kinnard said.

9:10am UPDATE: One northbound lane on North N.M. 14 has been reopened, following a nearly three-hour closure of the highway 3 miles north of Old U.S. 66, KOB-TV is reporting on its Web site. And, according to KOB-TV, the APD officer was southbound on N.M. 14 when his car flipped over and landed in the northbound lanes. He was not traveling northbound, as we previously reported.
