But drivers, use caution ... roads slick in spots.

No appreciable snow on the ground in the Albuquerque metro area, but roads are wet, slick and even icy in some spots, so slow down a bit on the morning commute.

A winter weather advisory remains up this morning for the northeastern and north-central counties, and low temperatures keep Interstate 40 and roads in western New Mexico snowpacked and icy, as well as Interstate 25 between Santa Fe and Raton. Check out the New Mexico Department of Transportation's Web site for complete road conditions. Or call DOT's hotline at 1-800-432-4269.

Moriarty Elementary School is closed today, and several other districts are on a two-hour delay this morning. Check out KOAT-TV's Web site, thenewmexicochannel.com for a complete list.

8:05am UPDATE: Here's what the National Weather Service has to say this morning.
