David Taub pleads not guilty
An Arizona man accused of killing his paralyzed wife in southern New Mexico has pleaded not guilty to a charge of first-degree murder, reports the AP Court records say 63-year-old David Taub of Green Valley waived his arraignment Tuesday, also pleading not guilty to a charge of tampering with evidence. Taub had told New Mexico State Police he and his wife were traveling from Arizona to Texas Oct. 4 when they stopped at a truck stop in Lordsburg. He said he left their recreational vehicle and returned to find his wife beaten and robbed. Taub said he then drove 120 miles to a Las Cruces hospital, where 60-year-old Sherry Taub was pronounced dead.
