William Mattiace lost by about 80 votes Mayor William Mattiace announced Tuesday that he would not seek a vote recount of the Nov. 7 municipal election, in which he lost his bid for re-election by 80 votes.

Mattiace left open the possibility of contesting the entire election, though he said he didn't think the results would change. City councilor Ken Miyagishima won by a margin of 80 votes, according to the Las Cruces News-Sun.
