From Santa Fe to Mountainair and Silver City, Ranger Districts sell tree permits
Here's a roundup of places and times to buy permits to cut Christmas Trees.

The Mountainair Ranger District will be selling Christmas Tree Permits at two locations:
Permits for Red Canyon will be sold at Red Canyon Campground from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 1-2 and Dec. 8-9.
Permits for Gallinas will be sold beginning Nov. 23 through Dec. 24 at the District office. A permit is $10.

All Santa Fe National Forest offices, four vendors in Pecos  and one vendor in San Jose will began issuing Christmas tree permits for personal-use for $10/permit beginning  Nov. 19 through Dec. 24.
Christmas tree cutting on Santa Fe National Forest land may also begin on Monday, Nov 19.

Permits for cutting Christmas trees on the Gila National   Forest will be available at all Ranger District offices on Nov. 23.
The permits sell for $5 each with a limit of one permit per household.
