Valeria Solano, 2, was killed Sunday when her father accidentally ran over her in the driveway of their home, said Erin Kinnard Thompson, spokeswoman for the Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department.

The father was backing a Chevrolet SUV out of the driveway when the accident occurred.

"Nobody saw her come out," Sgt. Rachel Azbill said. "He (the father) thought she was inside. The mom thought she was with her dad."

The accident occurred about 12:45 p.m. in the 200 block of Sunset SW near Central and Atrisco.

"There are no charges," Kinnard Thompson said. "There is nothing to indicate this is anything but an accident."
