Temperatures pushing 70 in ABQ, near 80 south and east.

Don't get the sunblock out just yet -- it's expected to be partly cloudy today in the Albuquerque metro area. But temperatures will be right around 70 today in central New Mexico, 78 in Las Cruces, Carlsbad, Tucumcari and Clovis.

Remember, though, there's always Rocky Mountain spring (blizzards in April?).

And don't forget: Today's the day a ban on open fires is in effect in unincorporated Bernalillo County until further notice. For details, go to the Albuquerque Journal story that ran on Saturday.
