Twenty students who live in the Pinon Ridge area in the East Mountains have been returned to San Antonito Elementary School after slick roads forced their bus driver to turn around, said Albuquerque Public Schools spokesman Rigo Chavez.

Parents are now urged to pick their children up at that school, he said. Someone will remain at the school until all the children have been picked up.

"The roads were slick, and cars in front (of the bus) were sliding all over the place, so the driver decided not to chance it," Chavez said.
