Snow falling on Santa Fe; ABQ getting wet, if not soaked.

8:30am UPDATE: Freeway traffic around town is a mess, says 770 KKOB Radio's traffic reporter Helen Wheels.

There's a new crash reported on southbound Interstate 25 near San Mateo and another on westbound Interstate 40 west of Wyoming that's playing havoc with drivers trying to get on and off the freeway at Wyoming, Wheels reports.

A major crash has been reported on westbound Paseo del Norte at San Pedro, according to KKOB.

Wheels also warns of anyone traveling east of Albuquerque, reporting multiple wrecks near Clines Corners.

7:55am UPDATE: A woman in her 20s is dead following a weather-related rollover accident on westbound Interstate 40 near Clines Corners around 5:45 a.m. today, State Police tell KOB-TV.

State Police said the driver of the white Ford Expedition with California plates lost control and the car rolled one and a half times, landing on its roof, Eyewitness News 4 reported.

There were seven children, ages 1 through 12, and two adults inside the car, and only the driver was wearing a seatbelt, the State Police said.

7:25am UPDATE: Jackknifed trucks causing problems on Interstate 40 in the East Mountains; serious accident reported on westbound I-40 near the Clines Corners exit, according to an update from KOB-TV.

6:00am UPDATE: Santa Fe public schools and St. Michael's High School have been put on a two-hour delay, KOAT-TV is reporting.

A winter weather advisory posted yesterday for northwest and northern New Mexico has been extended to include the northeastern part of the state and remains in effect until midnight tonight.

Albuquerque Public Schools have put the East Mountains schools, including Manzano High School, on a two-hour delay this morning as rain mixed with snow (and even some thunder) moved across Albuquerque to points east.

Pecos Independent Schools are also on a two-hour delay today, and you check on all reported closings and delays on KOAT-TV's Web site.

The roads are wet, and driving is expected to be dicey this morning on Interstate 25 going north to Santa Fe and beyond this morning.

More rain and snow are expected in our area today with the temperature topping out at around 48.

Check the state Department of Transportation's Web site (or call 1-800-432-4269) for road conditions if you're planning to travel anywhere outside Albuquerque today.
