Two women detained, one called a person of interest; man shot in jaw.

A 22-year-old man has been taken to University of New Mexico Hospital after being shot in the jaw around 4 this morning at a home on Elna Court, off Edwina Avenue, near Louisiana and Comanche NE, according to reports on KOAT-TV and KOB-TV .

The still-unnamed man's injuries may be life-threatening, both stations report.

As police arrived this morning, they stopped a car driving away from the scene with the wounded man inside and two women, including the 50-year-old driver and a 60-year-old passenger, KOB-TV reported. The women were detained for questioning, Eyewitness News 4 said.

And according to KOAT-TV, the driver is being considered a "person of interest" in the shooting, and a gun found in the home on Elena Court is a "weapon of interest."
