Take some time to brush the snow off your car and watch the roads.

6:35am UPDATE: State Police are reporting numerous crashes on Interstate 40 between Laguna Pueblo and the Arizona state line, where snow is still falling and roads are icy and slick, KOB-TV is reporting.

There's blowing snow on Interstate 25 at the Raton Pass, and police are warning of tricky conditions between Las Vegas, N.M., and Pecos, according to Eyewitness News 4.

5:45am UPDATE: East Mountain High School is closed today, according to KOAT-TV's delays/closings Web site. That doesn't include -- at least so far -- Albuquerque Public Schools' East Mountains schools.

We got an inch or snow overnight, and the National Weather Service is saying we could get a little more before 11 this morning, but for the most part the snowy part of the latest storm has moved east and south.

A winter weather advisory for Albuquerque and the Rio Grande Valley was supposed to expire at 5 a.m., but could linger on for a bit.

But it will be cooler (a high well below the average of 58 for this date) under mostly sunny skies once the storm has finally passed through.

Elsewhere in New Mexico, there's a winter storm warning still in effect until around 9 this morning in the northeast, where not much new snow is expected but high winds will keep that snow blowing and causing treacherous driving conditions.

You'll want to take it slow and easy on the roads in and around Albuquerque, too -- watch those bridges, overpasses, inclines and intersections -- while the roads are still slick.

Check on road conditions throughout the state at the Department of Transportation's Web site or by calling the road conditions hotline at 1-800-432-4269.

There are several school delays to report in the wake of winter's near-last gasp in New Mexico. You'll want to keep up to date on KOAT-TV's closings/delays Web site
