UNM star picked as one of country's top 150 Div. I players in All-America preview.

University of New Mexico senior J.R. Giddens, who led the Lobos to a 59-45 win over UNLV Tuesday night in the last regular-season home game at the Pit, was named earlier Tuesday to one of the National Association of Basketball Coaches' 15 All-District Teams, according to an NABC news release.

The 150 players who make up the first and second teams from 15 geographical divisions across the country are now eligible for the State Farm Division 1 All-America teams that will be announced on Saturday, April 5, at the NABC Convention in San Antonio, Texas, the release said.

Giddens was joined on the first team in District 13 by Trent Plaisted and Lee Cummard of BYU, Marcelus Kemp of the University of Nevada and Reggie Larry of Boise State, according to the release.

District 13's second team includes Lorrenzo Wade of San Diego State, Stefon Jackson of UTEP, Kevin Bell of Fresno State, Brandon Ewing of Wyoming and Luke Nevill of Utah.

Some other familiar faces show up on the District 15 second team: UNLV's Wink Adams and New Mexico State University's Justin Hawkins.
