Forget Julia Roberts. Forget Mary Tyler Moore. You can even forget Mary Pickford (if you haven't already). The Pam Beesly character on NBC's "The Office" is the Girl You'd Most Like To Take Home to Mother.

Of course, we have no idea what Jenna Fischer -- born Regina Marie Fischer on March 7, 1974 in Fort Wayne, Ind. -- is like in real life. But we can only hope she gets her wish "to play Pam for a long, long time" and that "The Office" doesn't lose its edge any time soon.

Speaking of celebrity birthdays, the former (and now occasional) weatherman on NBC's "Today" show, Willard Scott, turns 74 today. (Funny, we could have sworn he was 100 years old.)

And Pittsburgh Steelers fans, two of your greats are celebrating birthdays -- Franco Harris is 58 today, and Lynn Swann is 56.
