14-year-old girls were hiding in a bathtub at "hangout" for kids.

A 20-year-old San Juan County man was arrested Sunday for obstructing justice in a case involving 14-year-old runaways, and the 18-year-old who brought the two girls from Utah is facing felony charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and assault, the Farmington Daily Times reported.

Five juveniles also were taken into custody following a car and foot chase along San Juan County Road 3004 on Sunday, the Daily Times said.

The chase began when Ryan Stoops, stepfather of one of the runaways, saw 18-year-old Bryant Trujillo driving down the road, and when Trujillo made it to the driveway of his home, he yelled for help, Trujillo's father and a 16-year-old began chasing the stepfather, the paper reported.

San Juan County sheriff's Sgt. Brian Dennis said deputies were called when onlookers saw the chase, and Trujillo was taken into custody, the Daily Times said.

The investigation led deputies to a mobile home where 20-year-old Cory Bible lives – a place Dennis described as “kind of hangout for neighborhood kids,” the paper said.

The two 14-year-olds were found hiding inside the trailer in a bathtub, the Daily Times reported.

Bible was cited at the scene for obstructing the investigation, and the five juveniles who were present were taken to the county juvenile assessment center, the paper said.
