Man found miles away from where a pedestrian was struck and killed Sunday night.
Albuquerque police have arrested Mohamed Abdelaal, who was found about 15 to 20 miles from the spot where a pedestrian was struck and killed at 9:24 p.m. Sunday, the Albuquerque Journal reported. The pedestrian, whose name still hasn't been released, was described as a 31-year-old Native American male, the Journal said. Police had been looking for a 2008 silver Chrysler PT Cruiser which struck the man at the corner of Coors and Hanover NW near the Taco Bell restaurant, according to reports. Abdelaal was taken into custody, accused of leaving the scene of an accident with great bodily harm or death. The 34-year-old Abdelaal remained jailed this morning on a $2,500 cash or surety bond, according to the Metropolitan Detention Center Web site.

Albuquerque police are looking for someone driving a silver Chrysler PT Cruiser they say fatally struck a pedestrian walking near the Taco Bell restaurant at Coors and Hanover NW around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, according to KOAT-TV. The victim's identity has not been released.
