Detectives say man who posed as federal agent may be trying to flee country.
The Alamogordo Department of Public Safety announced today it is looking for a man they say posed as a federal agent, lured a woman to his house and raped her, the Alamogordo Daily News is reporting. David I. Ramos Arenas allegedly went to the Alamogordo Public Library last Wednesday and while posing as a Border Patrol agent "coerced a 24-year-old female to accompany his to his residence" where he is accused of raping her, according to a DPS news release. Police were called around 1:13 p.m. Wednesday to an Alamogordo residence on a report of rape, the Daily News reported. According to the DPS release, Ramos Arenas is believed to be trying to leave the country and may be hiding in the Las Cruces area. Ramos Arenas, whose age was not given, is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing approximately 195 pounds, with brown eyes and a shaved head, according to the Daily News.
