Former New Mexico treasurer's case in 10th Circuit Court of Appeals today.

Former state Treasurer Robert Vigil, currently serving a 37-month sentence in federal prison, will appeal his September 2006 conviction on a single count of attempted bribery at the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver today, 770 KKOB Radio's Peter St. Cyr is reporting.

Vigil's attorney Sam Bregman tells St. Cyr that each side will have 15 minutes to make its case before the appellate court, but there is no word on how quickly the judges will make their decision, KKOB reported.

Vigil began serving his sentence at a Texas prison in April, the station said.
